Top 5 Events of 2023
As 2023 ends, it is the perfect time to look back and remember all the fabulous and fun events at The Charlotte. Our team pushed the boundaries to create unique experiences for our Members. The dedicated Social and Wellness Directors created detailed, packed calendars that gave our Members plenty of adventures! From sensational Signature Experiences to hoppin’ happy hours to exciting excursions and so much more, this year was one for the record books, making it difficult to narrow down our top events.
Get ready to count down our top five events for this year:
5. Friends and Family Thanksgiving
This year, The Charlotte had a delicious and plentiful Thanksgiving lunch! The dining room was full of Thanksgiving decorations to set the mood! It was a fantastic day, complete with friends and family. The Charlotte loves seeing Members get together with their families, talking, laughing, and sharing precious moments.
4. Boo Bash with The Charlotte
It was a Monster Mash, a Boo Bash, and a Spooktacular Soiree for the Charlotte area! The Charlotte hosted their first annual Boo Bash for Members, families, and local ghosts and goblins! Each department decorated a themed table, and Members enjoyed seeing all the kids in their costumes and passing out candy.
3. Bunny Blessings
The Charlotte is home to many animal lovers, so it is a pet-friendly community. This year, we welcomed a few fuzzy visitors from Bunny Blessings! This organization helps foster rabbits back to health and brings them to local areas communities for animal therapy. Animal Therapy has many benefits, including reducing rates of depression, lowering blood pressure, and improving your emotional well-being. Members and staff loved spending time with the bunnies and learning more about the Bunny Blessings NC.
2. Billy Graham Library
The Billy Graham Library calls Charlotte, North Carolina, home, and it is a beautiful place to visit. Members took a trip to see this iconic area library. Members enjoyed walking through the library and learning about Billy Graham’s life and legacy. We also enjoyed lunch at the Graham Brothers Dairy Bar inside the museum.
1. Elvis is Back!
To honor the incredible life that Elvis Presley lived, we invited Jeff Keener of Keener Entertainment for a performance we’ll never forget! He performed all of our favorites from Burning Love, Hound Dog, Love Me Tender, Can’t Help Fallin’ In Love, and Jailhouse Rock! Members were dancing along to every along to every beat!
And just like that, this year is ending, and we are ready to start another fantastic year full of fabulous events. We can’t wait to see what this year holds and how it will surpass this year’s events!
